New Standard LP, 50 Medals of Honour, F.B initials etc. Cosmetically the cornet is in excellent undamaged condition but has not been tested by playing. The hard back case is still sturdy but has suffered externally. The top edge has been taped and there is remnants of paint on the front. The spring on one clasp doesnt work but the case does close correctly and is secure. The trumpet has a serial number of 314446 on it which makes from around 1958. The trumpet does come with a mouthpiece that is also a Holton Collegiate. A minor ding along one side The cornet has some finish loss and scratching. The bore size of each slide is.5 The valves are all operating smoothly and I have oiled the valve assemblies and cylinders to keep them from getting any corrosion. Certainly some finish loss to the gold colored lacquer, but no pitting or corrosion to the material the trumpet is made of. Nice emblazoning of the name and maker on the outside of the bell, although lightly impressed. The cornet is 17.5 long(with mouthpiece in place. By 7 wide. The bell is 4.75 across and the bell opening is 1.75 across. Comes with a hard case. This musical instrument is not represented to be in playing condition.
